Kim Feller served in non-profit leadership roles as the Vice President at Avivo and then ProAct, Inc. for a combined 33 years. She was responsible for developing, implementing, and operating successful employment programs and support services for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to self-sufficiency including the development of licensed (State of MN) skills training programs in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). She managed the successful closing of three sub-minimum wage work sites, transitioning each site to new programming models under Department of Human Services (DHS) funding requirements.
Kim has directed teams of leaders throughout the state, providing oversight as they built and managed programs funded through grant, fee-for-service, and contract dollars, incorporating effective planning and communication tools into annual goal setting to ensure successful outcomes. In the past three decades, she worked to develop project concepts for a variety of Federal, State and foundation grant applications with over fifty being funded and implemented under her tenure.
Transitioning her career to consulting in 2023, Kim’s focus now is providing project management for clients in the disability services world. From overseeing the strategic planning process to the development of multiple accredited and licensed training programs for people with disabilities and other barriers, her mission is to expand work and life enhancement options for all Minnesotans with disabilities; partnering with the business community to do so.
